Ski/Board Trip - Revelstoke Mountain Resort

Come join us at one of BC's premiere alpine resorts. We will spend the weekend in Revelstoke at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

The weekend will consist of a Ski/Board lesson on Saturday and a guided hill session on Sunday Morning. You will register for the level of lesson you desire (Beginner-Advanced) as well as all other demographics at our trip meeting on December 17th during block 9.

Rossland Trip - Culture and Climbing

A fun day trip to take in the Winter Carnival in Rossland. We will watch some bobsleigh racing as well as take in the rail jam. In the afternoon we will climb in the new Flux bouldering gym located inside the Miners Hall.

Our first stop of the day will be to the Pancake breakfast. Please make sure to have some food before we leave Creston as delay on the pass is a possibility and we could miss the breakfast.

Please pack a lunch. Dinner will be provided at the Colander in Trail, BC.

Snowshoe Trip #1 - Febuary 8

Have you been snowshoeing before? Want to try? Come on out for our first snowshoeing trip of the year. This trip will take us beyond the comforts of the Cabin area at Kootenay Pass. We will return to the cabin for lunch (Grilled Cheese on the Fire is a good choice) and then  have time for sledding (Helmet Required)!

Winter Camp - Stagleap Provincial Park

This is a great opportunity to try winter camping! We will build Quinzee's and you have the opportunity to stay in them, or hunker down in a lovely Dome Tent in Stagleap Provincial Park. You will be sleeping in three person tents or your Quinzee if it is deemed safe enough.

We will do a mandatory pre-trip safety evening and go over food requirements for the trip on Tuesday February 18th from 7-8pm.

Avalanche Skills Training

This course is limited to 8 participants. Students who register for this program, once completed successfully, will be certified with Avalanche Canada at the Avalanche Skills Training Level 1. Commitment to all the days outlined is required. Please make sure you are able to make both days before registering in this program.


Day 1 -February 28 - Classroom Session 6:00pm-9:00pm

Yoho Backpacking Trip (Laughing Falls) (PAST)

This is going to be a beautiful trip to Yoho National Park. We will be backpacking in 4.4km to the Laughing Falls Backcountry Campsite on Saturday. On Sunday during our return trip to Creston we will be rejuvenating at the Radium Hot Springs!

A MANDATORY pre-trip Safety Meeting will be held Tuesday, September 10 in the YETI Building @ 7pm.

Black Box Mystery Tour (PAST)

I am super excited about this program! It was a suggestion from a former YETI student and is going to be such a cool weekend. Don't miss out!

Here is the deal:

Students will have no idea what adventure they will be going on besides a supply checklist. Parents/Guardians will be contacted to go over the informed consent and to complete the necessary paperwork for the program. I ask that you do not let the students know what is coming

Outdoor Rock Climbing Trip (PAST)

This is our first outdoor climbing program for the YETI program. Summit Mountain Guides will be providing the programming. We will be camping at Syringa Creek Provincial Park.

Saturday will be the climbing day and we will take a short hike on Sunday.

A MANDATORY pre-trip Safety Meeting will be held Tuesday, September 24 in the YETI Building @ 7pm.

Climbing Weekend - Spirit Rock - Kimberley (PAST)

Have you ever slept in a hammock? Here's your chance! We are going to Spirit Rock Climbing Centre in Kimberley and will be doing some top rope belay training on Saturday and free climbing time on Sunday. We will also have some time to walk the Platzl while we are there.

The Spirit Rock Waiver can be found in the office.

Wilderness First Aid Course (PAST)

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with first aid, add to your resume, and acquire some skills for safe backcountry adventuring. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive certification for 20hr Wilderness First Aid through St. John's Ambulance. If you miss part of a day you will not receive certification so please make sure you can come for the entire course.
